Francis. The trainings are also conducted and facilitated by the author through onsite workshops and online coaching and support.
Whether you're leading curriculum development, providing instructional support, or directly engaging with students in the classroom, this training will equip you with the expertise and resources needed to ensure teaching and learning is standards driven, socially and emotionally supportive, and student responsive.
DOK Training Through Microcredentialing
MAVERIK EDUCATION offers its DOK Training through SkillsForce, an online professional development platform that facilitates professional learnings, tracks skill development through the use of microcredentials, and provides opportunities to share best practices within a peer community of educators.

Training
All participants must complete the following modules:
- Distinguishing Depth of Knowledge
- Understanding and Using the Language of Depth of Knowledge
- Deconstructing Standards for Depth of Knowledge
- DOK in the Content Areas
- Diffusing Depth of Knowledge
These modules are organized into a series of smaller, manageable trainings or that will develop and deepen each participant's understanding of Depth of Knowledge and how they can use both the DOK levels and language of DOK to enhance teacher effectiveness and ensure student understanding.
DOK Walkthroughs and Observations For Instructional Coaching and Support
Participants will also learn how to use the DOK Walkthrough Tool(c) developed by Maverik Education to observe the depth and extent of student learning and and support teachers with planning and providing DOK teaching and learning experiences that address the demand of the standards and the diverse needs of the students.
Maverik Education AI (In Development)
Participants will receive access to Maverik Education AI Assistants that will support them with enhancing and ensuring teaching and learning experiences that address, assess, and align with the demand of the standards and the diverse needs of the students.
PLEASE NOTE
- All participants seeking DOK Trainer Certification must attend all trainings and complete all modules.
- Certified DOK Trainers are authorized to provide professional development, guidance and support exclusively and only within their local education agency or through their employing educational organization that is contracted with MAVERIK EDUCATION.
- The "train the trainer" program and model is offered only to educators employed by districts, schools and education organizations contracted with MAVERIK EDUCATION.
We will be organizing and offering individual "train the trainer" in the future.
